 | This week, we have been mostly trying to keep on top of our water intake. For one thing, it's hot outside and it's important not to get dehydrated when out and about. For another, we saw The Fault In Our Stars and developed serious allergies that just about dried us out. I mean, people shouldn't be allowed to chop onions in the cinema. Or maybe there was an exceptionally hot chili in our popcorn? You can read, and hear, more about that this week in our interview with star Anton Elgort, if you're feeling strong enough to endure it (Spoiler: no tears are likely). But it wasn't all sobbing and sniffling, oh no! We also discussed movie parents we'd like to have as our own, how Star Wars changed cinema and the DC characters who are yet to reach our screens. And then we went home and ate ice cream until we felt better. Helen O'Hara Deputy Online Editor, Empire SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY OFFER! Subscribe And Get 12 Issues Of Empire From Just £18! | | | The Empire Podcast #116 This week's Empire Podcast has a relative newcomer to Hollywood in the form of Ansel Elgort, the male lead in the box office-busting weepie The Fault In Our Stars, as well as a relative old hand in the form of Jon Favreau, here to talk about his latest, Chef. |
| | | Bring Out The Gimp: Pulp Fiction's Mute Icon Speaks One of Pulp Fiction's unsung heroes - along with Samuel L. Jackson's wig-wrangler and whoever had to clean that brain-drenched Chevy Nova - is Stephen Hibbert. Primarily a writer (he's worked on Tiny Toons and MADtv) and with only a smattering of tiny film roles (he played 'Tourist on Toilet' in National Treasure: Book Of Secrets), Hibbert is hardly a household name. But any movie geek worth their salty popcorn will be familiar with his screen alter ego: leather-clad submissive the Gimp. |

| | | 15 Unfilmed DC Characters (And Who Should Play Them) While DC are still on the back foot, cinema-wise, when compared to Marvel, we have a cinematic Man of Steel, a new Batman coming our way, a big-screen Wonder Woman, and now, it's rumoured, even an Aquaman. Meanwhile Green Arrow, Flash and John Constantine are tearing up the small screen, while a huge number of DC characters are at various stages of development (or already sneakily with us: Black Canary appears in Arrow; Dr Fate seems to be heading to Constantine). But which, we wondered, are not in development at all? Which of DC's massive pantheon are yet to start their journey to the screen? Here are 15... |

| | | Ansel Elgort On The Fault In Our Stars Ansel Elgort has gone from zero to hero in the last couple of years, appearing in a key role in the Carrie remake and following that up with young adult sci-fi hit Divergent. But it's with The Fault In Our Stars, once again opposite his Divergent sparring partner Shailene Woodley, that he has really marked himself as a man to watch. We spoke to him recently for the Empire Podcast, and here's what he had to say about his young adult adaptations, dressing up as Big Bird and painting Hobbit figurines, for those who would rather read than listen... |
