Maggie Hello

It finally feels like summer has arrived and what better way to celebrate than updating your wardrobe - take a look at our favourite summer looks from the high street all under £25 (below!) for inspiration. We can only assume that this heatwave won't last very long, so we hope you make the most of it this weekend - we know we will! Enjoy!

Geri's big entrance!
geri_lead Well, there's one way to make sure people know you've arrived! Geri Halliwell ensured she was the centre of attention ealier this week as she arrived at the Liverpool X Factor auditions after stepping in as a guest judge. The former Spice girl climbed out of her car window, sat on the roof and addressed her fans through a megaphone! Casual.
'Human Barbie'
sarah_lead Sarah Burge, dubbed the ‘Human Barbie’, hit headlines in 2010 when she confessed to teaching her then six-year-old daughter to pole dance. She has since spent more than £500,000 on her own surgical enhancements and boasted about giving a £6,000 breast enlargement voucher to her daughter. But it seems that her antics aren’t being taken so lightly over in the US... 12 Issues of Empire + Ghost Recon Future Solder

This Week...

We've had quite a week here at Empire. We unveiled the cover of the latest magazine - or rather covers, since you have the choice of Batman or Catwoman - and gave readers a quick taster of our mammoth Dark Knight Rises coverage inside. Cuba Gooding Jr visited the Empire office for a webchat, showing only slightly less enthusiasm than he did when he won his Oscar. As if that weren't enough, I climbed a mountain to see bears, our Phil went swimming with sharks and Ali went rollercoastering with Transformers (more on those trips some other time). Finally, our amazing editorial assistant Lucy left us for pastures new. Over the past two years she's dressed stars for photo shoots, been hit on by celebrities, made the Empire Awards and Big Screen go without a hitch and "accidentally" told Chris Hemsworth he was fit. We'll miss her!

    Cannes 2012 Reports
Our Damon Wise and Nick de Semlyen have been out in Cannes all this week, battling their way through the hordes of celebrities to see all the most exciting films of the Festival. Despite the yacht parties and the cocktail receptions and the endless A-listers clamouring for their time ("Not NOW, Brad!"), Damo and Nick have been sending back a steady stream of exclusive news and snap-reaction blogs to the big films of the Festival. Read them all here, and then feast your eyes on the gorgeous attendees in our day-by-day galleries.

    Moonrise Kingdom Video Interviews
A new film from indie king Wes Anderson is something always to be welcomed, especially when it's as packed with interesting stars and quirky touches as Moonrise Kingdom. We sat down with director Wes Anderson, grown-up stars Edward Norton and Jason Schwartzman and child stars Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward to learn more about the scouting-focused, romantically inclined Cannes opener...

    The Empire Podcast #13
It may be unlucky for some, but number 13 went without hitch or hazard as this week made it a baker's dozen of Empire podcasts. Not that we didn't take a chance asking along The Raid's director Gareth Evans, a man who's never seen a building he didn't want to punch holes in, for a chat about his blistering martial arts actioner.

    Skyfall Teaser Trailer Breakdown
Here, six months ahead of its November release, is our first-ever look at Skyfall, Bond's 23rd adventure. Stylish violence and requisite sexiness are still obviously the order of the day, but with Sam Mendes at the helm and John Logan on script duties, this is clearly a 007 of a different flavour. For a start, it has giant blue jellyfish in it...

What To Expect When You're Expecting Interviews
It's based on a pregnancy advice book rather than the usual novel / comic book / theme-park ride, but What To Expect When You're Expecting still managed to attract an all-star ensemble cast to its many-stranded tale. We talked to a few members of that cast in London recently, to ask about pregnancy, birth and film-making. Here's what Cameron Diaz, Matthew Morrison and Chace Crawford had to tell us...

How To Make A Billion Dollars At The Box Office
Updated: There are now twelve films that have passed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box-office (unadjusted for inflation), making it the new benchmark for a big blockbuster. The Avengers is the latest to pass the ten-figure mark, joining Avatar, Titanic, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part Two, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Toy Story 3, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Alice In Wonderland and The Dark Knight. So what do all these films have in common? Here's what we've learned about the billion-dollar club...

    Cuba Gooding Jr. Webchat Transcript
A man you'd want with you in a dogfight - an aeroplane dogfight, not one with actual dogs mind - Cuba Gooding Jr. has returned to the skies in George Lucas's new World War II flick Red Tails. The one-time The Tuskegee Airmen knows his way around a fighter cockpit, but does he know his way around a web cockpit? Once we'd figured out what that even is, we hit him with your questions on everything from his Oscar night experience to his relationship with Reebok.

Personalised Love Hearts for the DVD and Blu-ray release of Like Crazy. Which, coincidentally, is how we all behaved after eating all this sugar.

The new head of PR at McLaren Automotive is Wayne Bruce. His nickname? ManBat.

Matthew Morrison has delivered two babies.

Dustin Hoffman goes to the cinema on his own. (Saw Headhunters at Odeon Covent Gdn!)

Cuba Gooding Jr. didn't think he was going to win that Oscar. He expected it to go to Armin Mueller-Stahl.

Piranhas live for 15 years and come in red- and black-bellied varieties. There could, therefore, be lots more sequels to come.

Clark Gregg's best Avengers moments. Finally! A Movie Simpsons shot comparison Tumblr. The Paris metro officially beats the Tube. I shot the serif.

If you have any timewasters to share, then e-mail them in to us.

    Moonrise Kingdom
