Con Fatigue
A horribly jet lagged team Empire returned from the carnage of Comic-Con this week, sweeping back into the office after a week of sleepless nights, on-camera shenanigans and people dressed as Space Marines. If you've been following our coverage (scroll down the page, the link is there somewhere), you'll know that this year's Con was absolutely mental. We saw brain-melting footage from Tron Legacy, rocked out with Scott Pilgrim (awesomeness), saw exciting sneak peeks from Cowboys & Aliens and had our first glimpse of Paul. And if that wasn't enough, we survivd the Hall H stabber to experience the Marvel panel first hand, taking in Thor, Captain America and seeing the entire Avengers team assembled for the first time. Go on, admit it: you're exploding with jealousy right now, aren't you?

Sucker Punch Trailer Arrives
300/Watchmen director Zach Snyder managed to excite and confuse audiences in almost equal measure at this year’s Comic-Con with the first footage from Sucker Punch, and if you were wondering why plenty of people couldn’t wrap their heads around it, then prepare to get your eyes and your brain punched with his latest, and possibly trippiest burst of visual flair: the Sucker Punch trailer has arrived.

Video: Oliver Stone Goes South Of The Border
Oliver Stone was branded "controversial" decades ago, and even his most balanced films tend to be branded leftist by the US media. But his new documentary, South of the Border, is decidedly critical of US foreign policy and decidedly positive towards left-wing South American leaders like Hugo Chavez. With writer and intellectual Tariq Ali, Stone sat down in London last week to talk coups, oil and democracy with Empire...

Murdock And B.A. Speak!
The A-Team – Joe Carnahan’s ridiculously entertaining adaptation of the classic '80s TV show – opens this week in UK cinemas. We sent Chris Hewitt along to talk to one-half of the soldiers of fortune, Sharlto Copley (Howling Mad Murdock) and Rampage Jackson (B.A. Baracus). The results were predictably chaotic, but worth watching, particularly if you want to know how the man who is Wikus van der Merwe would fare in a fight, and who Rampage wants to play next...

Design Your Own Dungeon!
Are you a king of Quark? A pharaoh of Photoshop? If so, this is your chance to have your talent showcased in Empire, by designing a B-movie poster featuring Kim Newman for the horror guru's regular Video Dungeon page. We've provided the assets – photos of Kim brandishing different weapons and an astonishing array of expressions – so all you have to do is create your own background and effects. Go funny, go scary, go crazy... the finest work will be showcased in the magazine in the coming months.

The A-Team

An energetic escape from Development Hell: suitably OTT, often fun and always loud. The villainy is underpowered, the plot a mess, but Cooper and Copley impress. We, er, quite like it when a plan comes together.

Clash Of The Titans

Poorly written nonsense, but lovers of beefcake action will be happy enough with the heroes gymnastically vaulting monsters and slicing and dicing their way around the ancient world. An extra star for Ralph Fiennes, who is a god.
